Don't let the picture fool you... my first patchwork belt did not work out very well. But, I did learn a few important lessons.
First, remember that a d-ring powered belt shows both sides of the belt in its worn and fashionable form. Two, sew both d-rings into the same end of the fabric at the same time. And, lastly, batting gets thick. So, I have some lessons to remember when attempting my next patchwork belt.
I will patchwork both sides of the belt... or at least one third of the back. I will remember to attach both d-rings. And I will trim batting at the seams.
And this time it will work... and be worthy of being gifted to Miss Dawn.
