It is going to be a bit quiet on the blog front this week... too much work going on. But, I wanted to just check in for a quick second. Honestly, I have been so busy and tired that my available Bloglines posts to read are in the hundreds...
In the few free moments I have, I have been knitting and reading. Quiet time. Decided that the holidays are closer than I would like to admit, so I am knitting some soft, fuzzy scarves for my nieces. Nothing fancy, just cozy scarves - simple garter stitch repetition. The repetition is soothing to my mind right now - trying to stay away from too much thinking. I will have WIP pictures soon.
On the reading front, I recently picked up the book Super Natural Cooking by Heidi Swanson. It is an absolutely gorgeous book. It provides loads of information on how to use more natural and unique ingredients in your recipes - and even provides some amazing recipes too. I have many recipes bookmarked and can't wait to go to the farmers market... and I have only read one full chapter.
In addition to the book, the author has a couple websites that are worthy visits for foodies: mightyfoods.com and 101cookbooks.com. Gorgeous sites with great recipes and loads of inspiration for healthy fall cooking.
Have a great rest of the week. I'll be back soon.
