Coming out of the quiet for just a quick post. Today is my Mom and Pops 37th Wedding Anniversary... I couldn't fall asleep last night and soon found myself on the cold basement floor tying to find pictures of them together. I don't have many and none of them are from the past ten years, but I did find enough to fill a small album. One for Pops at home... and for Momma, still fighting in the hospital. Anyway, just had to share a few of my favorites.
June 1972, just a little more than a year after their wedding, they brought crazy little me home from the hospital:
I love this one... sometime in the 80s, my parents went to a Missouri inaugural governors ball. I remember loving this fancy dress in my Mom's closet. And now that I look at this, Pops looks very James Bond-is with the tux, cigar and cocktail.
This one is how I remember childhood - sitting on the back patio in the summers. We did this pretty much every day when the St. Louis humidity wasn't all crazy! They relaxed while I earned my allowance refilling their drinks - wow, weren't the 70s and 80s different? I don't think that would fly today.
Thanks everyone for all your positive thoughts the past couple weeks - much appreciated.
