Honestly, I never remember it raining that much in Chicago when I lived there. It seriously rained 95% of the weekend. Record rainfall. Yep. Jeans soaked through up to the knees wet. Umbrella so soaked that it no longer stopped the rain. That said, I look back and feel bad for complaining because I came home safely to a dry and comfortable home and so many lives were devastated by rainfall last weekend. A little perspective.
The weekend was an adventure. I was really surprised by how many people braved the weather and shopped Renegade. There were so many talented crafters and artists. Lots to look at. Beth's booth was
so inviting and the jewelry was gorgeous - check her out on Etsy when you get a chance.
On the way home Sunday, I finally got to shop at an Ikea. St. Louis doesn't have one, so this was fun. I was a bit overwhelmed - there is so much stuff. I bought a few little things and then a bunch if fabric. The fabric is earmarked for some Christmas presents.
Other weekend highlights: the very, very comfy beds and pillows at the Hilton (did you know you can buy them?). Good music at Schubas and a really yummy sienna salads at Harmony Grill.
I really hope I can get back to Chicago again soon. I am craving some pizza and would love to visit my alma mater.
