I am constantly inspired by what other crafty bloggers are creating. Just last week, over at This Vintage Chica, I fell in love with a simple embellished tote made from kitchen towels and vintage pot holders. MS Everyday dish towels of course...
So, yesterday I wasn't sure what I wanted to do during lunch hour. I could go to Home Depot and shop for all the supplies I need for next weekends home projects, or I could check out the MS dish towels at KMart. Opting for the later choice, I ended up scoring a bunch of fun printed dish towels... on sale! One of the sets was even marked down to $2.50. Score.
Of course, they can only be defined as dish towels right now. After Easter, I will redefine them as fabric. Its just a little fib, nobody needs to know that the dish towels are actually a crafting supply when I gave up buying crafty supplies for Lent, right? Oh, I am feeling a bit guilty, but it was a sale and by next week, they might have been gone.
On another subject, it has been quite beautiful in St. Louis the past few days... a bit rainy on Saturday, but Sunday was just amazing. Kickball was canceled because the fields were too wet, but I made the most of my day. I mowed the lawn, patched some areas in my lawn (darn rabbits just sit and eat while I am away at work), cleaned out the garage... the list goes on. It felt so great. The sun, the fresh air and the low humidity. Loved it! Of course, now that I have a long weekend coming up, the weather isn't supposed to be quite as nice. If it is yucky out, I can always head down to my basement craft space and sew. So either way, it will be a good long weekend!
Just found your blog from Kelli's...I was in Kmart last week and bought those fruit towels with tote bags in mind!!!

I have a "thing" for all of those MS dish towels too...they are all over my house. I just had to laugh that you gave up "buying craft supplies" for lent...now THAT'S a sacrifice.

I had someone send me the fruit towels over here in France because I LOVE them so much. I don't yet know if I want to use them as dish towels or eye candy or something else. Tough decisions...
