Hi - an idea popped into my head when I read your post. I am currently working from a book called Learn-to-Knit afghan book by Barbara G. Walker - it has 63 squares - each with a different stitch. I think this would be PERFECT!! Just a thought.

One of my favorite patterns is the Ballband "warshcloth" from the Mason Dixon Knitting book--you can get great color ideas by perusing Flickr.

I think that's a brilliant idea as these are big enough to try a pattern and small enough not to be overwhelmed by it all. Enjoy I look forward to seeing how they all turn out.

I'm a beginner knitter and have just finished my first dishcloth. I think I'm addicted.

My yarn came from a friend. If I go and get some more, will any cotton yarn do? I've not seen Sugar and Cream in the UK and I'm stumped as to what to look for.

I love knitted dishcloths- so simple, yet pretty and practical. Seems like they are coming back into fashion, I've been spotting them all over recently.

I love knitting washcloths and dishcloths! My house is full of them, my neighbors and family are inundated with my little offerings, and now I'm knitting them for the domestic violence shelters.
